The Duhem-Quine Thesis: A Non-Standard Approach 1 Abstract: There are two versions of the Duhem-Quine thesis: (i) confirmation holism and (ii) evidence holism. After disentangling the notions of confirmation and belief from that of evidence, we propose two Bayesian accounts to address these two versions of the Duhem-Quine thesis.
